Hamburg/Kiel, 19 January 2012 – HSH Nordbank is financing three wind farms in France involving total loans of EUR 39 million for BNP Paribas Clean Energy Partners GP Ltd. The wind turbines will have capacity to generate total power of about 35 megawatts.

Two farms, Coudrays and Bois Ballay in the Berry region of central France, have already been completed; Mazeray in the west of the country is still under construction.

The two completed wind farms were built by Nordex France S.A.S., a subsidiary of the Hamburg-based turbine manufacturer Nordex SE. A total of 14 Type N 90/2500 facilities will be set up.

“We are delighted to be taking, together with our partner BNP, expansion of renewable energy forward in France as well, a country that provides attractive conditions for our business, “ said Lars Quandel, HSH Nordbank’s Head of Origination Energy. Another close collaboration with BNP Paribas Clean Energy Partners GP Ltd. is planned for the future. The current transaction also strengthens the relationship between the wind turbine manufacturer Nordex and HSH Nordbank.
