Edwin Wartenweiler to become new CRO at HSH Nordbank

Edwin WartenweilerHAMBURG/KIEL – Today the Supervisory Board of HSH Nordbank appointed Edwin Wartenweiler (52) as the Bank’s CRO (Chief Risk Officer) for a period of three years.

Mr. Wartenweiler will take up his new position on 1 June 2012.

Edwin Wartenweiler is coming to HSH Nordbank from FMS Wertmanagement AÖR, Munich, where he worked as Managing Director for Global Credit Management since the beginning of 2011, reporting directly to the Management Board. Prior to that, Edwin Wartenweiler, who was born in Switzerland, held various responsible positions for Credit Suisse in and outside Germany. Among other positions, he was Head of Management Support Credit & Risk Management as well as being responsible for a large credit unit.

“Edwin Wartenweiler is an ideal addition to the Management Board of HSH Nordbank. He has well over three decades of experience in the banking sector and is an acknowledged expert in all areas of credit and risk management that are important for the Bank. We wish Mr. Wartenweiler every success for his new tasks, ” said Hilmar Kopper, Chairman of the HSH Nordbank Supervisory Board.
