A few months ago, I arranged with Themis Vokos, founder and president of POSIDONIA, a visit tothe Maritime Museum of Greece, in Piraeus.
We were receivedby the President Ms Anastasia Anagnostopoulou-Paloumbi and her husband HN Admiral JohnPaloumbis, a member of the board, and shown around the Museum’s preciousand historical exhibits of the Hellenic Navy and Merchant Marine, the Libraryrich in maritime books and documents and their offices and were duly impressed.
Themis thenkindly offered the Museum, free of charge, a prime area at the Posidonia 2012Exhibition to exhibit their « Treasures ».
This will be agreat opportunity for the many exhibitors and visitors to see and know aboutthe Museum and their collections on the great association of Greece and thesea.
Themis an oldfriend from our student days in England, founded Posidonia many years ago andmany other equally successful international events worldwide.
