Actress Kate Winslet, who with Leonardo DiCaprio starred on the film TITANIC under the direction of James Cameron wishes to have one of the 100 exclusives bottles, personalised numbered and certifies that the Titanic Foundation is selling to commemorate the centenary of the mythical “ ship of the dreams”.
The Titanic Foundation was created in Spain in 2006, the founder and President is Don Jesus Ferreiro, a veteran Spanish journalist, radio presenter and creator of radio and TV documentaries about the sea; the Vice-President is the prestigious entrepeneur, professor and sucessful businessman German Lopez, and the Secretary General of the Foundation is Rafael Lobeto, ex-Director General of Merchant Marine in Spain and the founder and first President of SASEMAR (Spanish Salvage and Maritime Security Agency ) and of CESEMI a maritime studies Centre in Gijon, Northern Spain.
From these 100 exclusives bottles “Champagne del Titanic-Henri Abelé”, belonging to one of eldest French bodegas, created in 1757 and that was served on board the luxury restaurant “Le Parisien”, in this unique occasion the bottle are presented in a special engraved by fire wooden box. From the total of 100 bottles, 50 were initially released for sale at a price of 360 Euros and they were sold out just in few hours.
The other 50 bottles are now released, only one per person, at the same price of Euros 360 and in the same conditions. Once the complete limited edition series is sold out there would be no more.
Mr Lobeto, the Secretary General of the Foundation said: ” The Head of States or of government including in the Titanic route: England, France and USA will receive one exclusive personalised bottle, as well as the mayors of cities of Belfast, Cherbourg, Queenstown and New York will also have their own personalised bottle”.
Maria Dixon, the UK representative for the Titanic Foundation said: “although these is a unique opportunity to own this special Limited Edition, the Foundation also was offering the “not limited edition” champagne in a more modest but also very special packaging and can also be bought on line for just 42 euros.”
