South Africa, Cape Town had experienced strong winds and heavy rain, which had an impact on the berthing and sailing of vessels.
The high swell conditions are also impacting the OPL/Bay operations.

DATE: August 17, 2012 – COUNTRY: United Arab Emirates – PORT: all ports – Eid Al Fitr Public Holiday in Dubai
The administrative offices at Jebel Ali Port will be closed for the Eid Al Fitr holiday.
Administrative Offices: If Eid commences on Saturday, August 18 2012, offices will resume working on Tuesday, August 21 2012. And if Eid commences on Sunday, August 19 2012, then offices will resume working on Wednesday, August 22 2012.
Container Terminal: Container Terminal will remain closed from 0400 hours to 0900 hours on first day of Eid. Operations will resume as per normal after 0900 hours.
General Cargo and Commercial Trucking Department: The GC operations will be ceased on the first day of Eid from 0400 till 0900 hrs. All operations will be working on overtime basis for the three days. Sheds, Yards, Cargo receiving and delivery including Cold Store and Cool Store, receiving/delivery of local trucks will remain closed and will resume operations at 0700 hours on the second day of Eid “on special request only”. During this period, overtime charges will be applicable.
Container Freight Station: Operations at CFS Facility will be closed during declared Eid holidays. However, services can be provided upon request from customer on prior notice of 24 hours. Overtime charges will be applicable.
Marine Department: Berthing and Un-Berthing of Vessels will continue 24 hours.
