Afrimari held its Q3 meeting on Thursday 27th September at the auditorium of Clyde & Co at Beaufort House in London’s Algate.
Over 70 members and friends gathered at the drinks reception and later on attended the “Dispute Resolution Clauses in an International Context” speech, meticulously delivered by Eurof Lloyd-Lewis, partner at the Clyde & Co LLP. Lewis focused on factors to consider when selecting an appropriate clause during contract negotiations; excellent! The speaker was introduced by Temi Benite and successfully replied to more than ten questions put forward by the delegates – very interesting points where raised from all sides of the auditorium.
The event coincided with the World Maritime Day and for this purpose a collection box for donations was …appropriately filled to support the Sailors’ Society.
Gemina Cooper, Temi Benite and their secretariat at Afrimari together with the hosts did everything in creating yet another successful event, excelent!
