DATE: November 20, 2012 COUNTRY: Turkey PORT: Turkish Straits Rise in numbers of tankers awaiting transit
A significant increase has been noted in the number of tankers awaiting Turkish Straits transit due to worsening weather conditions, shorter daylight hours and increasing energy demand.
Taking into account the growing number of the vessels waiting for transit, in particular tankers over 200 metres, Masters are urged to submit their SP1 forms in good time to avoid delays.
