Cheers to all from Bernard Anne – on his left his successor Philippe Donche-Gay
Off to Trinity House in mid November for this special Bureau Veritas Beaujolais Party where over 300 guests – including at least fifty journalists, representing all sectors of the Shipping, Energy and Offshore industries, honored Bernard Anne who is retiring and welcome the new head of Marine and Offshore Philippe Donche-Gay! John Faraclas was there with his camera.
Bernard Anne is used to surprise us with his excellent recaps on the markets and the continued success of the Classification Society that he lead successfully for all those years. Last year his down to earth brief analysis focused on the gas market and in particular the LNG tankers where the omens looked good, and rigtly so! This year’s reporting touched all sectors and the container one for many reasons. One important thing being in his slides presentation was Bureau Veritas’ revenue: a solid growth for 15 consecutive years – revenue expanded by a multiple of 7, 4! All in all Anne’s success story at BV is second to none, even in comparison to other IACS members; a great achievement!

Shell’s John Krousouloudis, Anny Zade, Bernard Anne and Michel Bourgery of M B Finance
His successor praised him and looked at ease with the great tasks ahead, particularly in this competitive and uncertain market.
Lots of discussions, good food – e-x-c-e-p-t-i-o-n-a-l and don’t ask for the drinks: the spirit of the Domaine Romy Beaujolais lifted our spirits making the next day (Friday), a day to remember!

Anthony Suchi from Ince & Co, Captain Paddy McKnight Intermanager’s IMO permanent representative, IMIF’s Chairman Jim Davis and the new head of BV’s Marine and Offshore Division Philippe Donche-Gay
Congratulations to Fred Hardy, the London Chief Executive for the Marine in Bureau Veritas’ London office and his team headed by Mrs. Ros Cornahé in hosting this excellent event, as well as to Merlin Communications for their immense support. Coincidentally Ros, as we all know her, retires after being 16½ years with BV as PA to Fred Hardy! A special mentioning and …what a bouquet of lovely flowers! A very sentimental moment indeed!
Ah! Philippe Boisson, the Communication Director and Legal Advisor, from the Marine Division Management was there too, one of the best executives in this challenging position Bureau Veritas has ever had, as well as Laurent Bermejo, the Executive Vice President for Northern and Eastern Europe from the Industry and Facilities Department.

Fred Hardy with Ros Cornahé
On leaving, all guests were given this exceptional bottle of Nouveau Beaujolis to …err …for all intents and purposes! Excellent!

When we say a full house, we mean a full house!
