DATE: January 08, 2013 COUNTRY: GermanyPORT: Kiel Canal- Possible delays due to lock chamber closure

The New Big South Lock Chamber at Brunsbuttel will be out of service for repairs until the end of next week.

The New Big North Lock Chamber and both small old lock chambers will remain in service.

Depending on traffic volume, delays can be expected.

DATE: January 08, 2013 COUNTRY: India PORT: Mumbai – Naval firing practice

The Navy will be conducting firing practice from 0930 hours to 1300 hours
on Wedensday 16 January 2013.

The MBPT channel is required to be kept clear for all ships for allk ships from 0630 to 1400 hours on 16 January 2013.

HGence all ships anchored in the harbour up to middle ground have to vacate the berth and proceed out to sea and be clear of the “Friting Practice Area”.

Vessels at anchorage within these co-oridnates will be asked to move from 14 January 2013 onwards. There will be no shipping movements from 0630 to 1400 hours on 16 January 2013.

DATE: January 08, 2013 COUNTRY: Turkey PORT: Turkish Straits – Poor visibility in Istanbul Strait

Poor visibility due to snowfall led to the suspension of all northbound and
southbound traffic in the Istanbul Strait at 11.45 hours local time today
(8 January).

DATE: January 08, 2013 COUNTRY: Italy PORT: all ports- Adjustment of anchorage dues comes into effect

The adjustment of Italian Anchorage Dues has now come into effect as from 1 January, as per Italian Law Degree dated 24 December 2012.

The adjustment established by the National Statistic Institute for the period 01/01/1993 (date of last adjustment) – 31/12/2011 has been
established in 59.3%.

This adjustment will be recovered in the measure of 75% for all national ports as follows:
– 33% from the date of coming into force (6 January 2013)
– 33% from 1 January 2013
– 34% from 1 January 2014

In view of the above, the new coefficients for the Italian Anchorage Dues are as follows from 7 January 2013:
– EUR 0, 9314 each NRT / 30 days validity
– EUR 2, 0438 each NRT / 12 months validity

As from 1 January 2014:
– EUR 1, 0402 each NRT / 30 days validity
– EUR 2, 2827 each NRT / 12 months validity

From 1 February 2015, the above tax rates will be adjusted on a yearly basis of 75% of the official inflation rate of the previous year.
