Shell Bukom SBM subsea pipeline repair

Subsea pipeline repairs will be carried out at Shell Bukom SBM from 15 February to 30 March 2013.

According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore’s Port Marine Notice No.16 of 2013, the works will be conducted 24 hours daily – including Sundays & Public Holidays –
within the area bounded by the following coordinates (WGS 84 Datum):
1) 01° 12.031’N / 103° 47.304’E
2) 01° 11.756’N / 103° 47.865’E
3) 01° 11.251’N / 103° 47.876’E
4) 01° 10.932’N / 103° 47.420’E
5) 01° 10.971’N / 103° 46.956’E
6) 01° 10.600’N / 103° 46.997’E

The repair works will entail the removal and reinstallation of existing SBM buoy and new subsea pipeline. Pipeline reinstallation works will be carried out by pipelay barge “LEIGHTON STEALTH” held by 4-point  anchor moorings within the working area.

A safety boat will be in attendance throughout the duration of the repair works to warn other craft of the works in the vicinity.

Craft involved in the works will exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.

When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
(a) keep well clear and not to enter the working area;
(b) maintain a proper lookout;
(c) proceed at a safe speed & navigate with caution;
(d) maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 68 (West Control);
and
(e) communicate with West Control on Channel 68 for assistance, if required.

Construction works on cargo piers

The general cargo piers at Petkim Terminal in Aliaga will be taken out of service to third parties on Friday (15 February) due to construction work.

The terminal has not yet announced the duration of the construction period.
