Partially sunken wreck
A partially submerged wreck is in approximate position Lat. 25 deg. 22.858
N Long. 055 deg. 23.320 E, which is at the edge of Sharkah Creel Channel
approaches in the north side.
A marker buoy is placed in position Lat. 25 deg. 22.868N Long. 055 deg.
22.32E. The marker buoy has day signal yellow/blue stripes and by night
yellow and blue alternating flashes.
All vessels are required to take note of the above and exercise caution
while approaching the area.

Trim of vessels berthing/sailing
A number of vessels are arriving/sailing [at the Port of Salalah] with trim
by head of more than 1.5 meters. Even keel or trim by stern is required as
per standard safe practice for maneuvering in port. The ships should be
suitably trimmed by stern or on even keel for berthing/sailing.
Berthing/sailing of ships with excessive trim by head will be at the
discretion of the pilot and may be delayed until the vessel is suitably
trimmed for berthing/sailing. Pilot will also decide on using extra tugs as
required.
The Harbor Master may also decide to defer the movement to daylight hours
depending on weather conditions.

Seawall Reinstatement Works
For approximately 3 months, seawall reinstatement works will be carried out
[at Tung Wan, South of Lantau Island] in the area bounded by straight lines
joining the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum) from (A) to (D):
(A) 22 deg. 13.308’N / 113 deg. 53.728’E
(B) 22 deg. 13.292’N / 113 deg. 53.728’E
(C) 22 deg. 13.292’N / 113 deg. 53.688’E
(D) 22 deg. 13.308’N / 113 deg. 53.688’E
The works will be carried out by one derrick lighter. One backhoe pontoon,
one tug and one guard boat will provide assistance.
A working area of approximately 15 metres around the derrick lighter will
be established. Yellow marker buoys fitted with yellow flashing lights will
be laid to mark the positions of the anchors extending from the derrick
lighter.
The hours of work will be from 0800 to 1900 hours. No work will be carried
out on Sundays and public holidays. Vessels employed for the works will
stay in the works area outside the hours of work.
A silt curtain, extending from the sea surface to the seabed, will be
established within the works area. The silt curtain is a large piece of
netting used to contain mud and sediments. Yellow markers fitted with
yellow flashing lights will be laid to mark the extent of the silt curtain.
Vessels engaged in the operations will display signals as prescribed in
international and local regulations.
Vessels navigating in the vicinity should proceed with caution.

Reclamation of Jurong Island Phase 4 & jetty construction off Temasek Fairway
The working period has been extended for the reclamation of Jurong Island
Phase 4 and construction of a jetty off Temasek Fairway. The work will now
be conducted from 15 March to 14 August.
According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine
Notice No.25 of 2013, the works will be carried out 24 hours daily –
including Sundays & Public Holidays – within the working area bounded by
the following
co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum):
1) 1 deg. 14.410’N / 103 deg. 39.974’E
2) 1 deg. 14.318’N / 103 deg. 39.783’E
3) 1 deg. 14.568’N / 103 deg. 39.663’E
4) 1 deg. 15.057’N / 103 deg. 39.430’E
5) 1 deg. 15.546’N / 103 deg. 39.197’E

The reclamation works will involve cutter suction (CS) dredgers,
trailer-suctionhopper (TSH) dredgers and hopper barges. Shore protection
works will be carried out by crane barges and the dredging of sand-key
trench by grab dredger.
Construction of the jetty will entail pilling concrete works, installation
of marine fendering system and mooring facilities.
Piling and concrete works will be carried out by work barges.
When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
(a) keep well clear and not to enter the working area;
(b) maintain a proper lookout;
(c) proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution;
(d) maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 22 (Jurong Control);
and
(e) communicate with Jurong Control on VHF Channel 22 for assistance, if
required.
