Harbour Channel depth increased
The Port of Newcastle has today (27 March) advised that the Harbour Channel depth has been increased by another 0.10m to 14.70m at zero tide.
Recent flooding had caused a build of silt which reduced the Channel depth from 15.20m to 14.30m at zero tide. A dredge which is now operating 24 hours a day to remove the silt.
