Hong Kong International Dragon Boat Races 2013
The 2013 Hong Kong International Dragon Boat Races (IDBR) will take place
off the East Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront from 21 to 23 June 2013 from 0700
hours to 2000 hours.
Mooring buoys marking the southern limit of the race area will be laid
approximately 280 metres from the waterfront on 19 June 2013, and two
pontoons will be moored to the two landing steps at East Tsim Sha Tsui
waterfront. They will remain in place until approximately 24 June 2013.
Owners and coxswains of vessels are advised to use other landing steps in
the vicinity.
Throughout the events, lighters, ferries and launches will make fast to the
mooring buoys to enclose the race area. Other than participating craft, no
vessel will be permitted to enter the race area.
Vessels navigating in the vicinity should proceed with caution.
In the event of inclement weather, the IDBR may be postponed to the
fallback dates from 5 to 7 July 2013 and to be held in Shing Mun River, Sha
Tin.
