ALBA Graduate Business School at the American College of Greece offers, through The Hellenic Shipbrokers Association, two partial scholarships (50% of the tuition fees) to two graduates of the S.G.C. (SHIPBROKING GNOSIS CERTIFICATE).

Scholarship is open to all S.G.C. high-grade graduates, who wish to apply for the ALBA MBA in Shipping Program and/or the MSc in Shipping Program , for the academic year 2013-2014.

IMIF Baltic 01 July 2013 032Application deadline expires on 26.07.2013. The application form can be found and be submitted online at  https://applications.alba.edu.gr. The final selection will be made by ALBA in collaboration with HSA.

Who can apply – Admission Criteria

  • Holders of Shipbroking Gnosis Certificate
  • Holders of bachelor’s degrees in a relevant discipline or an equivalent professional qualification from an accredited Institution, including Merchant Marine Academies.
  • Fluency in English
  • For the MBA only, at least three years of work experience in the maritime-oriented sector
  • For the MBA only, a minimum GMAT score of 550 is expected
  • Two strong recommendations from employers and/or professors
  • Satisfactory performance in a personal interview

Founded in 1975 it is clearly a professional, non profit-making, organization which has as targets:
-The coordination of certain actions in order to protect its members’ benefits.
-The promotion and improvement of the right functioning of the Hellenic Shipbrokers’ profession.
-The coordination and development of Shipping subjects in combination with the Ministry of Merchant Marine, the Hellenic Chamber of Shipping, the Union of Greek Shipowners, the Greek Agents Associations etc.
