Potable water unavilable at jetty

Due to the need for pipeline replacement, potable water supplies will be
not be available for vessels at North Tees No.3 Jetty until further notice.

At this stage, potable water is expected to be available again at the jetty
from October 2013.

West Jurng Channel soil investigation works

From 25 July to 24 September, soil investigation works will be carried out
in West Jurong Channel.

According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore’s Port Marine
Notice No.101 of 2013, the works will be conducted 24 hours daily –
including Sundays & Public Holidays – at the following marine borehole
co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum):
CT1-13) 103 deg. 39.618’N / 1 deg. 16.463’E
CT2-13) 103 deg. 39.640’N / 1 deg. 16.479’E
CT3-13) 103 deg. 39.580’N / 1 deg. 16.470’E
CT4-13) 103 deg. 39.602’N / 1 deg. 16.485’E
CT5-13) 103 deg. 39.624’N / 1 deg. 16.501’E
CT6-13) 103 deg. 39.646’N / 1 deg. 16.516’E
CT7-13) 103 deg. 39.691’N / 1 deg. 16.548’E
CT8-13) 103 deg. 39.587’N / 1 deg. 16.507’E
CT9-13) 103 deg. 39.609’N / 1 deg. 16.523’E

Soil investigation works will be carried out by means of borehole drilling
using work barge. Work barge will be working on only one borehole at any
one time. The barge, with tug boats in attendance, will have a circular
safety  working zone of 100 metres radius centered at the barge. Tugboats
will be used for shifting the barge from one borehole location to another.
Safety boats will be deployed in the vicinity of the working areas to warn
other craft of the project work.

Craft involved in the works will exhibit the appropriate local and
international day and
night signals.

When in the vicinity of the working areas, mariners are reminded to:
(a) keep well clear and not to enter the working areas;
(b) maintain a proper lookout;
(c) proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution;
(d) maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 22 (West Jurong Control);
and
(e) communicate with West Jurong Control on VHF Channel 22 for assistance,
if required.
