Repairs at Labrador Park Jetty
Repair work will be carried out at Labrador Park Jetty from 1 October 2013
to 31 March 2014.
According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine
Notice No. 135 of 2013, the works will be conducted 24 hours daily –
including Sundays & Public Holidays – within the working area bounded by
the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum):
A) 01° 16.038’N / 103° 48.003’E
B) 01° 15.988’N / 103° 48.081’E
C) 01° 15.955’N / 103° 48.062’E
D) 01° 15.954’N / 103° 48.075’E
E) 01° 15.879’N / 103° 48.024’E
F) 01° 15.946’N / 103° 48.929’E
Repair of the jetty will entail erection of temporary scaffolding on the
jetty, hacking of deteriorated concrete and cement work. Work barges will
be deployed for the transportation of construction materials. Marine
surveys will be carried out on completion of construction works.
Safety boat will be deployed in the vicinity to warn other craft to keep
clear of the working area.
Craft involved in the works will exhibit the appropriate local and
international day and night signals.
When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
(a) keep well clear and not to enter the working area;
(b) maintain a proper lookout;
(c) proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution;
(d) maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 25 (Jurong Control);
(e) communicate with Jurong Control on VHF Channel 25 for assistance, if
