Classification as shipyard/offshore marine facility for port dues
Under the revised port dues structure, Category 3 and Category 4 port dues
rates may be granted to vessels calling at shipyards and offshore marine
facilities for specified purposes respectively.
New facilities that wish to be considered as a shipyard or offshore marine
facility for the purposes of concessionary port dues will need to complete
the application form… …incorporating the following:
(a) Documentary proof (such as Memorandum and Articles of Association and
recent ACRA printout) that (i) shipyard and/or (ii) offshore marine
activities are included as business activities of the company;
and
(b) Indicate the company’s latest audited annual total revenue (with a copy
of the latest audited annual financial statements showing this) and
estimated annual revenue from (i) shipyard and/or (ii) offshore marine
activities….

Changes to SISTRAM system
From 15 October, vessels calling at Brazilian ports must register with the
SISTRAM maritime information & communications system, and messages should
be transmitted through the SISTRAM IV website.
To do so, users must access the website www.sistram.mar.mil.br. The SISTRAM
IV will not accept any longer messages sent to controle@cotram.mar.mil.br
after 15 October.
