Naviera Integral orders four Damen Sea Axe vessels

Four Fast Crew Suppliers 5009 increase fleet to 33 ships

Mexican offshore company Naviera Integral and Damen Shipyards Group signed a contract for four more Damen Fast Crew Suppliers 5009 (FCS 5009). The first two vessels will be delivered from stock and will be handed over in Vietnam on April 16th of this year. The other two vessels will start construction soon, with their delivery planned for July 2015. All four vessels will operate in the Gulf of Mexico, under a direct contract from PEMEX, the Mexican state oil company.

The signing ceremony took place in the Head Offices of Damen in the Netherlands on March 7th, 2014 and was attended by the presidents of both companies, Lic. Juan Pablo Vega Arriaga of Naviera Integral and Mr. Kommer Damen.

The Damen FCS 5009 is an Axe-bow design. The Damen Sea Axe bow has proven itself time and again in offshore operations worldwide. With these four vessels, Naviera Integral will expand its fleet to 33 vessels, among which 14 Sea Axe vessels.

Naviera Integral specializes in the transport of personnel and goods from and to offshore platforms in the Mexican part of the Gulf of Mexico.

In addition to ship design and shipbuilding, Damen Shiprepair & Conversion offers a network of 16 repair & conversion yards worldwide, with dry docks ranging up to 420×80 metres. Conversion projects range from adapting vessels to today’s requirements and regulations to the complete conversion of large offshore structures. DS&C handles 1, 500 repair and maintenance jobs annually.
