Posidonia Events, organisers of the Posidonia Sea Tourism Forum in Athens every two years, is organising an international cruise session at the shipping exhibition TRANSTEC 2014 taking place in St. Petersburg, Russia, from 1 to 3 October 2014.
Posidonia Events have a long standing partnership with Transtec Neva Exhibitions and Dolphin Exhibitions, the organisers of TRANSTEC and NEVA, the two leading maritime events in Russia, and have now been assigned the planning and organisation of the cruise session “The Baltic and the Black Sea – the main directions for the development of the cruise market in Russia and Eastern Europe”, that will explore the potential of further development of the cruise industry in the Baltic and the Black Sea in the near future.
Posidonia Events has placed the Transtec cruise session under its auspices and, as a CLIA Executive Partner, has been invited to prepare the session’s agenda and recruit leading international cruise executives for the conference. The cruise session is supported by the Russian Union of Travel Industry and the St. Petersburg Association of Passenger Shipowners.
Participants include Russian government organisations, local government representatives, trade associations, cruise companies and destinations, ports and members of the cruise industry, who will examine how the national economies of the region will benefit from attracting high end sea tourism and how international cooperation among all the stakeholders can lead to the exploitation of new investment opportunities in the Baltic, the Caspian and the Black Sea region
TRANSTEC 2014 is organised under the aegis of the Ministry of Transport Russia.
