Novorossiysk Port was closed at midday today (24 October) been closed due to hurricane-force northeasterly winds.
Sheskharis Oil Terminal halted loading operations in the morning. Only one tanker remains alongside the pier No.7 – all others have been shifted to outer roads.
The CPC-R Marine Terminal still has one Suezmax at SPM under loading while all further
mooring operations have been postponed until weather conditions improve.
Actual wind forces is currently 17-20 m/sec, and expected to increase further tonight to a northeasterly gale up to hurricane force 35-40 m/sec with a swell of 2.0-2.5 metres. Gale warning No.17 is in force.
Taman Port was also closed due to the strong winds early this morning.
There are currently no vessels alongside. Actual wind from NE is 15-20 m/sec with a swell of 1.0-1.5 metres, expected to increase to hurricane force 35-40 m/sec and swell 2.0-2.5 metres. Gale warning No.151 is in force.
According to long-term forecast, a further increase of the NE wind can be expected tomorrow night (Saturday 25 October) and the bad weather is forcecast to persist until the evening of Monday (27 October) or Tuesday morning (28 October).

Locks to close for maintenance and diving works

Due to maintenance and diving works at Brunsbuttel Locks, the Big North Lock Chamber will be out of service during the daytime from
27 to 31 October and from 10 to 14 November.
The Big South Lock Chamber will also be taken out of service during the day from 4 to 6 November.

Maritime Declaration of Health

With immediate effect and as part of the measures to prevent the introduction of Ebola Virus Disease into Singapore, the National Environment Agency (Port Health Office) requires all arriving vessels that have been to the Ebola affected countries (i.e. Guinea, Liberia, Sierra Leone and Democratic Republic of Congo) in the past 21 days to submit the Maritime Declaration of Health Form to the Port Health Office.
This form must be submitted regardless of whether there are sick passengers or crew on board. It should be submitted to the Port Health Office via:

Annual Marine Services Survey (2014) of Shipmasters

The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) has appointed ML Research Consultants Pte Ltd to conduct the Annual Marine Services Survey (2014) of shipmasters from 27 October to 21 December 2014.
The feedback received from shipmasters will assist in enhancing the marine services provided to ships in Singapore. Response in the survey will be kept strictly confidential.
The survey questionnaires will be handed to shipmasters by harbour pilots from PSA Marine Pte Ltd. Shipmasters are requested to complete the questionnaires and return them to the harbour pilots or their agents.
