Both Eurotunnel and Eurostar have cancelled their services both for vehicles, freight and passengers expecting to resume same later on tonight after fire was detected in a lorry at the French end of the tunnel. No-one was hurt!
The tunnel’s closure led to many cancellations with passengers trips to and fro Continent leading to widespread disruption. Hundreds of lorries are queuing both ends.
Passengers are trying to re-book but due to the weekend there are fewer flights to Paris and Brussels making things more difficult.
