Transportation of materials

From 18 February to 13 August, materials will be transported from PPT Phase 3 & 4 Working Area to the Sand Stockpile Area at Tuas adjoining F2.According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No.20 of 2015, the works will be carried out 24 hours daily – including Sundays & Public Holidays – within the working area bounded by the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum):

1) 01 deg. 14.620’N / 103 deg. 37.395’E

2) 01 deg. 14.620’N / 103 deg. 37.604’E

3) 01 deg. 14.620’N / 103 deg. 37.843’E

4) 01 deg. 14.571’N / 103 deg. 37.867’E

5) 01 deg. 14.479’N / 103 deg. 37.670’E

6) 01 deg. 14.400’N / 103 deg. 37.500’E

The work involves the transport and dumping of material by hopper barges from PPT Phase 3 & 4 to the Sand Stockpile Area at Tuas adjoining F2.

Safety boats will be deployed to warn other craft in the vicinity of the ongoing work.

Craft involved in the work will exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.

When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:

a) Keep well clear and not to enter the working area;

b) Maintain a proper lookout;

c) Proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution;

d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 22 (Jurong Control);

and

e) Communicate with Jurong Control on VHF Channel 22 for assistance, if required.
