Always the first to get involved in charitable events, the team at Jeanius hosted their first ever Cake Break in Aid of Multiple Sclerosis on Tuesday 12th May, raising a fantastic total of £350 for the charity.
With each team member donating a range of homemade cakes, the Jeanius office provided the perfect base for this wonderful event, as an array of visitors from Milton Keynes College, MK2 Business Park and many more local companies stopped by for a tasty treat, and all for a brilliant cause.
More than 100, 000 people in the UK live with Multiple Sclerosis, and there is currently no cure, but all the money raised helps to contribute to a better way of life for MS sufferers.
- £200 could pay for an hour of research with an MRI scanner to better understand what happens in MS.
- £350 could buy a much needed respite break for a family living with MS.
- £500 could go towards a mobility scooter to help someone with MS get their independence back.
Delighted with the success of the event, PR Manager, Amanda Roberts said: “TeamJeanius actively support a number of charities, and with great gusto have thrown themselves into preparations for Cake Break, with an amazing assortment of cakes and orange décor! The MS Society is a charity very close to my heart and I have been overwhelmed by the donations we have received, helping to raise much needed awareness and funds for those affected by multiple sclerosis.”
