ClassNK has announced an improved partnership with the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology (IMarEST) which is set to see the company benefit from a collaborative programme to support the professional development of staff, as well as raising profile within the marine sector.

The partnership will allow ClassNK’s employees to gain access to discounted products and services including IMarEST membership, accessing the IMarEST’s powerful online Virtual Library, events and conferences.

Abdul Rahim, ClassNK’s Regional Manager for Europe and Africa commented: “We have worked in partnership with the IMarEST for a number of years, and we are delighted to develop this enhanced programme that sees us support the professional development of our employees. The IMarEST is the leading maritime learned society, so getting involved with their technical programme is good for our employees.”

ClassNK provides classification and technical services to roughly 20% of the world’s commercial fleet.

Samantha Carter, Account Manager, Marine Partners for IMarEST added: “We are delighted to partner with ClassNK who are one of the largest Classification Societies. Their input and support for our technical programme is invaluable, and we are pleased to be supporting them with the professional development of staff.”
