Sales Director, Lars Nickel appointed to head German division of NAPA
HAMBURG – NOVEMBER 5, 2015 – NAPA, the global leader in maritime software, services and data analysis, has announced the launch of a German office with the hiring of Sales Director, Lars Nickel. The new Hamburg office will allow NAPA to strengthen its market position in the influential European market and develop closer collaboration with customers.
Joining NAPA from Atlas Elektronic, following a seven-year career at Imtech Marine, Nickel has the knowledge and understanding of the German maritime technology market to deliver the best possible service to NAPA’s customers in Germany, as well as in Belgium and the Netherlands.
In addition, the launch of Germany’s National Master Plan for Marine Technology, launched earlier this year, has poised the German shipbuilding market for growth, including the establishment of new shipyards around the country. With around 95% of newbuild vessels currently designed at shipyards using NAPA software and the recent launch of an innovative CAD-style 3D design interface, NAPA Designer, NAPA is well-placed to offer world-leading solutions on its doorstep as the industry expands.
Lars Nickel, Sales Director – NAPA Germany commented:
“I am very proud to be joining a company as innovative and forward thinking as NAPA. We believe the way to truly improve our software is to work in close collaboration with our customers. Closer proximity with our German customers will achieve that and illustrates our genuine commitment to this market. As the world leader for design software, NAPA has an enviable reputation among naval architects and an expanding customer base. There is also significant growth potential for NAPA’s operational solutions and data analytics to help Germany’s shipowners and managers to run their ships more efficiently while also reducing global emissions from the shipping industry.”
In its 25 years of operation, NAPA has become a global leader in maritime software, services and data analysis for the maritime industry; providing best in class data-led solutions for safety, efficiency and productivity in both ship design and operations.
