February 3, 2016-Linthicum Heights, Maryland –Glen Paine, Executive Director of the Maritime Institute of Technology & Graduate Studies and the Pacific Maritime Institute (MITAGS-PMI), announced the Institutes have been certified to provide the CMM mariner assessments that will be required when the 2010 STCW Amendments go into full force 1/1/17. This is in addition to the Officer in Charge of a Navigational Watch (OICNW) assessments (NVIC 12-14) approved in September 2015.

Additionally, MITAGS offers a structured STCW Chief Mate / Master (CMM) Training Program.
