The Baltic Dry Index (BDI) lost 11 points since yesterday – reading 587, and 23 points since last week’s 610 points; the murder of MP Jo Cox in the United Kingdom floored down Democracy in an unprecentented way: John Faraclas writes:
“And so to… bet” come out once again verbatim true as well as all our previous written predictions expressed in public views about the shipping markets.
The Capers and its respective BCI 2014 lost 49 points, standing at 927 and overall 79 points since last the week’s 1, 006 points. This is a serious fall despite the volatile aspect surrounding, as always, the Cape-size tonnage.
The Panamaxes maintained a steady level, both within the week as well as the single day level at 546 points (just one point up) and three points plus since last Friday’s 543 points.
The Supras’ BSI stood at 555 points – just one up, and minus two since last week’s 557 points.
The Handies’ BHSI lost three points, now reading 311 and 16 points down since last week’s 327 points.
So all in all a downwards market and given the summer period might go even further down although volatility is not always seasonal…
The Wets too were in stagnation; the last published BDTI and BCTI – Dirty and Cleans respectively are standing at 714 (plus two points) and 448 (minus one); overall though losing 22 and 27 points since last week’s 736 and 475 respectively.
The price of WTI fell below the US$ 48 and overall lost another two dollars since last week… Caution!
Still a good market to proceed with new purchases, particularly order new double eco newbuildings of any kind!
The murder of MP Cox in the United Kingdom yesterday in broad day light and in point blank, is another hit against Democracy in a multitude way and hope one day the truth and motive behind this atrocity to shine for the good of global humanity! It come in a very crucial moment for world politics, not just because of the forthcoming referendum in the UK, but beyond that! It is a fact and NOT a fiction that similar actions in the past have resulted in world wars. The truth please!
BREXIT and BREMAIN – equally GREXIT and GREMAIN, and possibly other similar situations, have now to consolidate as, whatever the result, Europe and the European Union are both in a total mess.
The German domination of Europe has been the wrong choice of the architects of this mess.
The Migrants issue remains the most important issue that politicians must solve otherwise they will be resolved.
