Re-arrangement of Passage Area in Causeway Bay Typhoon Shelter

The passage area within the limit of Causeway Bay Typhoon Shelter [has been] re-arranged with effect from 5 August 2016 because of marine works associated with construction of the Shatin to Central Link.Pursuant to Section 3 of the Merchant Shipping (Local Vessels) (Typhoon Shelters) Regulation (Cap. 548E), the Director of Marine has set aside the area shown in grey colour in the plan numbered 2016 MAR022 and dated 5 August 2016 as passage area in Causeway Bay Typhoon Shelter. Electronic issuance of anchorage & port clearance
Monday, August 8, 2016, Fujairah, United Arab Emirates
Effective from 10 August 2016, the Port Clearance and Anchorage Clearances [at Fujairah] will be generated electronically.Respected shipping agents are advised to submit clearance request at least two hours prior to vessel’s sailing (not earlier than 4 hours prior sailing).Following procedures will be taken care during the issuance:

  1. Ship’s local agent shall make request for Anchorage/Port Clearance.
  2. Documents required for issuing Port Clearance
    (a) Request in the prescribed format
    (b) Immigration Out
    (c) Customs Out
    (d) Master Declaration
  3. Documents required for issuing Port Clearance
    (a) Request in the prescribed format
    (b) Original Last Port Clearance
    (c) Master Declaration
  4. Control Tower shall input the information required to generate clearance.
  5. No dispute Declaration required from the terminal (applicable only for vessels at Vopak and SPMs)
  6. FOTT will give “No Objection” through our system for vessels at FOTT if there is no dispute.
  7. Control Tower shall give final approval when pilot onboard.
  8. System will generate the Electronic Clearance.
  9. System will generate a password which will be sent to the local agent’s registered email. Agents who have not registered their email address for the purpose of receiving passwords are requested to register at the earliest.
  10. Vessel’s local agent shall be able to view and save the pdf form of the certificate and print by the password provided to them.
  11. No clearance will be printed from Marine Department on preprinted stationary.
  12. Authenticity of the certificate can be confirmed online by visiting out website by using the password provided to them.
  13. Clearance holds the footer note “this is a computer generated Certificate and Signature is not required”.
