|REMOVAL OF UNDERWATER OBSTRUCTIONS IN KWUN TONG TYPHOON SHELTER

|Removal of underwater obstructions in Kwun Tong Typhoon Shelter|

|For approximately 2 weeks, an underwater obstruction removal operation will be carried out within the area bounded by straight lines joining the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum) from (A) to (D):
(A) 22 deg. 18.593’N / 114 deg. 12.917’E
(B) 22 deg. 18.445’N / 114 deg. 13.033’E
(C) 22 deg. 18.413’N / 114 deg. 12.986’E
(D) 22 deg. 18.561’N / 114 deg. 12.870’EThe works will be carried out by one derrick lighter. One tugboat and one work boat will provide assistance.
A working area of approximately 15 metres around the lighter will be established. Yellow marker buoys fitted with yellow flashing lights will be laid to mark the positions of the anchors extending from the lighter.
The hours of work will be from 0700 to 1900 hours. No works will be carried out on Sundays and public holidays. Vessels employed for the works will stay in the works area outside the hours of work.
Diving operations will be carried out from time to time during the hours of work.
Vessels engaged in the works will display signals as prescribed in international and local regulations.
Vessels navigating in the vicinity should proceed with caution and keep clear of the works area at slow speed, bearing in mind there are divers working in the works area.

|Bad weather is expected at Novorossiysk and Taman ports from today (24 October) through to the evening of Wednesday 26 October.At Novorossiysk port, Gale Warning No.176 is in force. North-easterly winds of 28-33 m/sec are expected from about 17:00 to 22:00 hours local time, this evening, with a sea swell of 1.3-2.0 m.
The port will most probably be closed.
At Taman, Gale Warning No. 110 is currently in force.
Bad weather is forecast for the next two days.
