Who isn’t afraid of volatility; fighting the geopolitical jargon

John Faraclas

The BDI (Baltic Dry Index) as we have warned run out of steam… Volatility is more than dangerous and is here to stay… In the Geopolitical front the fight begins for carving yet another new world and “order”.  Not just new World Order… John Faraclas’ daily briefing:

With the BDI losing 19 points at 859, thanks to the diving Capers, the end of the month couldn’t have been worse… In comparison with last year though, it was much better!

The Capers lost 130 points, now standing at 1,021 and if the 1,000-point threshold is “broken”, the Capes are in danger and under scrutiny, but given their volatile second …“nature” everything is possible for the BCI 2014… Caution though…

The Panamaxes, our most favourable of all sizes, simple or post-Panamaxes, did well gaining 29 points… Will shall see …

The Supras were up eight and the BSI now reads 825 points…

The Handies’ BHSI also eight points plus at 444

The Wets down; the last published BDTI (Dirties) and BCTI (Cleans) lost ten and three points, now at 847 and 606 respectively… The Wets are in a bit of a mess… Ultra caution…

Despite the above and turbulent geopolitics, still this is  the best ever buyers’ market, the market indeed for the very few, but this is the reality.

The WTI must “come down” as anything above the US$ 50 will have financial and social repercussions for the poor masses AND the cost of production; an unwanted situation for Planet Ocean’s recessionary situation.

The Geopolitical situation, in a nutshell, leads to Wars – both those we are expected to see in the platoon and economic ones, so be on guard and let us see sensibility and not arrogancy being the nrom. Nemesis though strikes for all and very unexpectedly.

Have a nice evening, be on guard as terrorists of any kind and religion loom in the background!
