A temporary unloading facility has been established at Tuen Mun Area 38. The temporary unloading facility will operate for a period of approximately 13 months. One tugboat, one crane barge and one self-propelled delivery barge will work at the facility within the operation area bounded by straight lines joining the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum) from (A) to (D) and the adjacent shoreline for unloading operations: Yellow marker buoys fitted with yellow flashing lights and radar reflectors are laid to mark the boundary of the operation area at co-ordinates (B) and (C). The hours of operation will be from 0700 hours to 2300 hours. Vessels engaged in the operations will stay in the operation area outside the hours of operation. Anchorage closed to shipping |

Port Kembla Port Authority has advised that the anchorage will be closed to shipping from 2200 hours local time today (16 March) due to adverse weather including heavy swell and strong winds.
All ships are instructed to return to sea. The Notice of Readiness or turn off arrival of vessels returning to sea will not be affected. Any vessels arriving during the closure to reach as close as possible to port limits as allowed by VTIC, tender their Notice of Readiness and return back to sea. Meanwhile, the port is currently open to harbour movements and cargo operations are being conducted as normal. All port berthing/unberthing operations at Jubail were suspended by the port authority from 0830 hours local time today (16 March), due to strong winds up to 36 knots and bad weather.
