The Capers were up 50 points and the BCI now reads 1,221…
The Panamaxes had fallen 23 points and the BPI now stands at 1,225 points..
Minus one point for the Supras’ BSI – now at 813…
Steady…err stuck at 500 points the Handies’ BHSI…
All in all a very uncertain and volatile market; a market missing the real momentum, a market below the 1,000 point mark, a market missing 1,297 points from the end of December’s 2013 closing… So do we take it that shipping becomes a very difficult adventure and it is ONLY for the very very very few as you all very soon verify…???
The Wets falling too, not much, but falling; the last published BDTI (Dirties) and BCTI (Cleans) lost six and one point respectively – now standing at 649 and 549 points…
The WTI with its ups and downs, some twists and turns, maintained the US$ 46 plus level – now as these lines are being written reads US$ 46,62 … Good for the poor masses!!! It might rise a bit more, but this is life…

Indeed i a cynical believing in “War, Father of all; if you don’t destroy you cannot rebuilt”; this being the pitiful message for all!
MIGRANTS by far are the most important and dangerous of all issues; they increase day by day everywhere, and those with religious “issues” might become detrimental for all societies… For a start the social cohesion has been broken…
The Wars in Syria and Iraq against ISIS and others, the more it goes on, the more will created despicable mess and soon will affect shipping – remember this!
Erdogan’s Turkey has its own agenda promoting blackmail and soon a possible destabilisation of a vast area from the Straits of Gibraltar to Afghanistan and from the Caucasus down to the Horn of Africa. See and study their Qatari military deal and basis, or the one in Albania and in many other places and see how somebody is pushing Erdogan to create a global mess. CAUTION… Now his interest is focused on Jerusalem threatening that Israel will pay the penalty for its behaviour in the region…
