END OF COMPULSORY ICEBREAKER ASSISTANCE PERIOD
Marine site investigation at Yi O, Lantau Island

With immediate effect and for a period of approximately 2 months, marine site investigation involving drilling of boreholes will be carried out within the following works areas:
WORKS AREA 1
This area is bounded by straight lines joining the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum) from (A) to (D):
(A) 22 deg. 14.241’N / 113 deg. 51.096’E
(B) 22 deg. 14.241’N / 113 deg. 51.125’E
(C) 22 deg. 14.214’N / 113 deg. 51.125’E
(D) 22 deg. 14.214’N / 113 deg. 51.096’E
WORKS AREA 2
This area is bounded by straight lines joining the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum) from (E) to (H):
(E) 22 deg. 14.105’N / 113 deg. 50.836’E
(F) 22 deg. 14.105’N / 113 deg. 50.866’E
(G) 22 deg. 14.078’N / 113 deg. 50.866’E
(H) 22 deg. 14.078’N / 113 deg. 50.836’E
A temporary working platform will be established within each works area for carrying out the works. Yellow flashing lights will be installed at the four corners of each working platform to indicate their positions. One derrick lighter and one tugboat will provide assistance.
A working area of approximately 15 metres around the derrick lighter will be established. Yellow marker buoys fitted with yellow flashing lights will be laid to mark the positions of the anchors extending from the lighter.
The hours of work will be from 0700 to 1900 hours. No works will be carried out on Sundays and public holidays. Vessels employed for the works will stay in the works areas outside the hours of work.
Vessels engaged in the operations will display signals as prescribed in international and local regulations.
Vessels navigating in the vicinity should proceed with caution.

Dredging off PCS Terminal Berth No.6

From 21 July to 20 October, dredging works will be carried out off the Petrochemical Corporation of Singapore (PCS) Terminal Berth No.6.
According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No.076 of 2018, the works will be carried out 24 hours daily – including Sundays & Public Holidays – within the working area bounded by the following coordinates (WGS 84 Datum):
1. 01 deg. 15.626’N / 103 deg. 43.497’E
2. 01 deg. 15.738’N / 103 deg. 43.740’E
3. 01 deg. 15.668’N / 103 deg. 43.866’E
4. 01 deg. 15.557’N / 103 deg. 43.623’E
Dredging works will be carried out by dredgers supported by barges and tugs. Safety boats will be deployed to warn other craft in the vicinity of the working area.
Craft involved in the works will exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.
When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
a) keep well clear and not enter the working are
b) maintain a proper lookout
c) proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution
d) maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 68 (West Control)
e) communicate with West Control on VHF Channel 68 got assistance, if required.

End of compulsory icebreaker assistance period

From 00:00 Moscow time tomorrow (20 July), the compulsory requirement for vessels in the limits of the seaport of Sabetta and its approaches to have icebreaker assistance will be cancelled.
With regards to the presence of separate floating ice, vessels must navigate with care in the port waters and approaches.
