British Marine Expo confirms HPi Verification Services as title sponsor
British Marine is delighted to announce a title sponsorship with HPi Verification Services (HPiVS) for the inaugural British Marine Expo (26-27 March 2019). The 2019 edition of the trade event will be promoted as British Marine Expo, in association with HPi Verification Services.
HPiVS is a Notified Body, which means it issues certificates, on behalf of the EU Commission, for products that need a CE mark in order to access the European market. It has clients all over the world, of all shapes and sizes. It works for one-man enthusiasts building boats and model trains in their back garden through to blue-chip organisations that are household names. Its marine clients include Princess Yachts, Mastercraft, Williams Performance Tenders and Oyster Yachts.
Lesley Robinson, CEO of British Marine, commented: “We are delighted to welcome HPi Verification Services as the Expo’s official title sponsor. It is fantastic news for our highly anticipated launch Expo and what will become British Marine’s flagship trade event.
“We look forward to working with HPi Verification Services to leverage its sponsorship which comes at a time when interest in debating and understanding legislative matters concerning the marine industry is at its highest. British Marine Expo offers businesses of all shapes and sizes a compelling opportunity to come together and learn, network and do business.”
Alasdair Reay, Managing Director of HPiVS, stated: “I congratulate British Marine on the timing of the Expo. With the final Brexit destination still unclear, the Expo provides the opportunity for the UK marine industry to show that it is thriving.
“I am delighted to start the positive mood of British Marine Expo by announcing to the industry that product certification for boats and marine components is no longer one of the challenges for post-Brexit UK. Thanks to our new company in Ireland, whether CE marking products for sale in Europe or ‘UK Marking’ products for sale in a post-Brexit UK, HPi Verification Services is able to deliver. So the UK has the key to all markets, whatever the final outcome. I look forward to the Expo and celebrating the very many positives of the UK marine industry.”
Taking place on 26-27 March 2019 at the impressive St. Mary’s Stadium in Southampton, British Marine Expo will deliver a packed schedule of talks, seminars and networking opportunities. Bringing together some of British Marine’s most established events, including the Superyacht UK Technical Seminar, Supply Chain Conference and Meet the Buyer, it is set to attract marine professionals from across the sector. The Expo will also host a Marine Showcase welcoming 32 companies presenting their latest and most innovative products and services.
