Repairs at Berths 3 & 4 of Pulau Busing Terminal (Tankstore)

From 1 March to 31 August, repair works will be carried out at Berths 3 & 4 of Tankstore Terminal.

According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No.025 of 2019 dated 26 February 2019, the works will be conducted 24 hours daily – including Sundays & Public Holidays – within the working area bounded by the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum):
1) 01 deg. 14·319’N / 103 deg. 44·910’E
2) 01 deg. 14·341’N / 103 deg. 45·076’E
3) 01 deg. 14·330’N / 103 deg. 45·077’E
4) 01 deg. 14·309’N / 103 deg. 44·912’E

The works will involve structural repairs of the jetty and replacement of damaged fenders. A safety boat will be deployed to warn other craft in the vicinity of the working area.

Craft involved in the works will exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.

When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear and not to enter the working area;
b) Maintain a proper lookout;
c) Proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution;
d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 68 (West Control);
and
e) Communicate with West Control on VHF Channel 68 for assistance, if required.

Installation of floating sea barrier off Tanah Merah Coast Road

From 1 March to 31 August, a floating sea barrier will be installed north of Tanah Merah Light (Fl.Y.5s6m7M).

According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No.024 of 2019 dated 26 February 2019, the work will be carried out 24 hours daily – including Sundays & Public Holidays – within the working area bounded by the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum):
1) 1 deg. 18.983’N / 103 deg. 59.004’E
2) 1 deg. 18.977’N / 103 deg. 59.037’E
3) 1 deg. 19.026’N / 103 deg. 59.058’E
4) 1 deg. 19.033’N / 103 deg. 59.024’E

Installation of floating sea barrier will be carried out using crane and work barges. These barges will be assisted by tugs. Safety boats will be deployed to warn other craft in the vicinity of the working

area.

Craft involved in the works will exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.

High Water restrictions in place

The New Orleans-Baton Rouge Steamship Pilots Association has advised that due to the Mississippi River reaching sixteen (16) feet at the Carrollton Gage, the following high water restrictions were implemented yesterday (27 February):

Mile 233.0 AHP to Mile 90.5 AHP, southbound vessels will be daylight only;
Mile 170.0 AHP to Mile 232.2 AHP, all vessels will be daylight only; and
Vessels anchoring in NOBRA’s area of responsibility with a draft of 30 feet or greater shall maintain a pilot on board while at anchor to ensure safety of the vessel.
These emergency procedures shall remain in effect until the Baton Rouge Gage has a reading of 40 ft. and falling in combination with the Carrollton Gage reading 16 ft. and falling.
