Mooring & unmooring in Tuas Finger One Project Area
Thursday, April 18, 2019, Singapore

The working period for operations in the Tuas Finger One Project Area has been extended, and the work will now be carried out from 18 April to 17 October.

According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No.037 of 2019 dated 17 April 2019, during this period, the locations of mooring buoys at the Tuas View Reclamation Project Area are as follows (WGS 84 Datum):

HSHSPBV-MB3) 01 deg. 15.570’N / 103 deg. 38.467’E
– Light characteristics Fl. Y. 5s

HSHSPBV-MB3A) 01 deg. 15.570’N / 103 deg. 38.639’E
– Light characteristics Fl. Y. 5s
The mooring and unmooring of vessels will be carried out one at a time during daylight hours between 0700 and 1800 hours.

During this period, bulk carriers, self-propelled barges and pusher tugs with barges in composite unit carrying bulk sand will be transiting the Temasek Fairway to the Tuas Finger One reclamation project area. All vessels shall maintain a proper lookout; proceed at a safe speed and to navigate with caution when in the vicinity of the mooring buoys off the eastern part of Tuas View Extension.

Addition of information to statistical declaration
Thursday, April 18, 2019, Suez Canal, Egypt

The Suez Canal Authority has issued a new circular urging the agents of transiting vessels to add the below information to the “Statistical Declaration” in item (3), para (A), article (15) of Suez Canal Rules of Navigation August 2015 edition:

1) Charter’s & principal’s names and their e-mails.

2) Number of vessel’s propellers and their types (whether fixed or azimuth propellers).

All correspondences sent by shipping agents to the Suez Canal Authority, especially Rebate Requests, must include the charter’s and principal’s names and e-mails.

Temporary loading facility at West Kowloon Cultural District
Thursday, April 18, 2019, Hong Kong

A temporary loading facility will be established at West Kowloon Cultural District. The construction and loading operation of the temporary loading facility will last for a period of approximately 9 months.

One tugboat and two dumb lighters will berth at the facility within the operation area bounded by straight lines joining the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum) from (A) to (D) and the adjacent shoreline for loading operation:
(A) 22 deg. 18.020’N / 114 deg. 09.671’E
(B) 22 deg. 17.978’N / 114 deg. 09.677’E
(C) 22 deg. 17.971’N / 114 deg. 09.620’E
(D) 22 deg. 18.013’N / 114 deg. 09.614’E

The hours of operation will be from 0800 to 1900 hours. No operation will be carried out on Sundays and public holidays. Vessels engaged in the operation will stay in the operation area outside the hours of operation.
