INSTALLATION OF SILT BARRICADES NORTH OF PULAU TEKONG

Installation of silt barricades north of Pulau Tekong
Friday, April 19, 2019, Singapore

From 20 to 30 April, work will be conducted north of Pulau Tekong to install silt barricades.

According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No.035 of 2019 dated 17 April 2019, the work will be carried out from 0730 to 1930 hours daily – including Sundays & Public Holidays – within the working area bounded by the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum):
1) 01 deg. 26·140’N / 104 deg. 03·300’E
2) 01 deg. 26·040’N / 104 deg. 03·510’E
3) 01 deg. 25·900’N / 104 deg. 03·500’E
4) 01 deg. 26·030’N / 104 deg. 03·230’E

Silt barricades will be installed by a crane barge assisted by tug boats. A safety boat will be deployed to warn other craft in the vicinity of the working area.

Craft involved in the works will exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.

When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear and not to enter the working area;
b) Maintain a proper lookout;
c) Proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution;
d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 21 (Sembawang Control);
and
e) Communicate with Sembawang Control on VHF Channel 21 for assistance, if required.
