OrderWise Director Announced as Entrepreneur of the Year Finalist
OrderWise’s David Hallam is among the finalists for EY Entrepreneur of the Year 2019.
EY Entrepreneur of the Year has been recognising and celebrating the work of entrepreneurs who make a positive impact on their society and the economy for over 20 years. OrderWise’s Managing Director, David Hallam, has been shortlisted as a finalist in the Midlands and South West region after demonstrating a unique company culture and developing innovative goods-to-person robotics technology.
The highly coveted business award identifies candidates with entrepreneurial spirit who have personal integrity and purpose-driven leadership. The next stage of the judging process will take place today (21st May) for the Midlands region; finalists will be interviewed by a panel of judges to select the regional winners who will then progress to the UK national final. If successful, the UK finalist will go on to compete in the World Entrepreneur of the Year.
David said: “I feel truly honoured to be shortlisted for EY Entrepreneur of the Year. The company has undergone rapid growth in the last few years and I am proud of our innovative developments that are being recognised thanks to the hard work and dedication of our staff.
“As well as developing our award-winning software, we are also investing heavily in robotics. This game-changing technology streamlines and lowers the cost of the order fulfilment process.
“To get this far in EY Entrepreneur of the Year and be recognised amongst some truly inspirational business leaders is monumental. Building OrderWise has been an incredible journey and to be recognised for these achievements is fantastic.”
Sponsors for the event include The EY Foundation which strives to support young British business people from all walks of life and Founders4Schools, a charity that aims to close the skills gap between young people and businesses.
