Dry and Wet Markets: still buoyant amid perplexed Geopolitics

The BDI (Baltic Dry Index) ended up earlier on today at 1,317 points, which is a good 37 points plus since yesterday; the perplexed Geopolitics will turn sour for many; John Faraclas’ brief recap:

The Capes led the way with 51 points plus and the BCI standing at 2,440 points.

Good surge for the Panamaxes with the BPI at 1,191 points – up 41 since yesterday!

Same picture as per yesterday’s standing with another nine plus points for the Supras’ BSI now at 774 points!

The Handies’ BHSI remained “grounded” for a third day at 442 points…

The gap with that of the end of December 2013 and today’s figures come down to 930 points – from 2,247(2,247 – 1,317)!

The Wets, modestly, on the up; the last published BDTI (Dirties) and BCTI (Cleans) stood at 679 plus one and 550 plus seven respectively!

The WTI jumped US$ 1,55 since yesterday and now reads US$ 59.38 – an expected prediction from this side. Ultra CAUTION should be observed…

The Geopolitical aspects all over Planet Ocean are not just perplexed – per our mentioning in the preamble of today’s recap might get sour for all. There will be a collateral damage too following spill overs, yes spill overs of a domino effect:

The MIGRANTS, the Planet Ocean’s most difficult and also despicable issue from the way the politicians, the diplomats and their cronies “handle” same is being totally derailed! From the USA/Mexican border to the Med the deaths from drowning have no “competitor” example to match… We must stop these happenings as they will backfire against all of us. The worse of course is when one nation in particular, on purpose sends them over, like Turkey to the Greek islands and then for the Europe!

The North Africa mess with MIGRANTS must stop. Italy and Malta cannot cope, so does Spain!!

Mind the Balkans too….

Be warned of the East Med – including the Aegean Seas where Turkey wishes to turn it to another battle / sea ground… The Energy issue must be appropriately handled and put Turkey’s Erdogan on the dock for jeopardising Peace in the entire region; he bullies Cyprus too as well as Greece needless to say the Kurds and Syrians… CAUTION!

The Syrian mess continues but there is limited on the news… Shame.

Greece lives the parliamentary pre-election fever; let’s see what positive comes out…

BREXIT BREXIT BREXIT and the world goes round…. Expect many surprises given the leadership / prime ministerial coming up result!

Warnings on the USA / Iran standoff; you never ever know what same come produce and how same will affect the Shipping Industry…

In South America the Venezuelan tragedy continues; let’s see how many accusation president Maduro will tell us against his enemies, within and abroad… CAUTION!

In Africa the latest mess in Ethiopia might turn to be a serious one and given the proximity with the Horn of Africa expect more trouble there…

Tariffs, Tariffs, Tariffs... what a mess. The most capable one wins them all!! Add that we live in a bankrupt world with a US$ 250 trillion debt and see what you get! Only a War will sort it out! Regret the cynical way we report, but this is the harsh reality.

Let’s hope the latest meeting of NATO dealt with some urgent issues which if not sorted-out might produce total mess…

On another tone and note, mind the heat wave in Europe and in general wherever same appears; deadly and fires are the name of the hot weather!

That’s all for tonight; have a nice evening and remain on guard from actions emanating by Pirates, Terrorists, Criminals and Business Hooligans whatsoever wherever you are on Planet Ocean!
