2019 NAMEPA Marine Environment Protection Award Nominations Open
NAMEPA annually recognizes companies, associations, government agencies, academic institutions and individuals whose efforts support our mission to “Save Our Seas”. Since our inception in 2007, NAMEPA has been engaging maritime businesses, regulators, conservation groups and the public to “Save our Seas” by promoting sound environmental practices. Previous recipients have included Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, Maersk, Euronav, APL, Teekay Shipping, the Port of Montreal, the United States Coast Guard, National Geographic and others.
Entries for the 2019 NAMEPA Awards are now being accepted. We urge you to consider making a submission for one of the 2019 NAMEPA Award categories: NAMEPA Marine Environment Protection Maritime Industry Award; Government, Federal, State or Local Environmental Agency Award; Congressional Award; Port Award; Individual Award; Maritime Academies, Harbor Schools, Universities Award; Non-profit Environmental Entity Award and the Innovation Award; and the Seafarers Ministry Award.
Deadline for the submissions is August 23rd. All submissions will be reviewed by the NAMEPA Board of Directors and a recipient selected. The winner will be notified no later than September 6th.
This year’s NAMEPA award will be presented at our annual NAMEPA Environmental Awards Dinner being held in New York on October 24th following our Annual Marine Environment Protection Conference. It is expected that the winner’s senior executive will be present to receive the award, as well as participate in a Senior Leadership Roundtable discussion that afternoon.
