Dry falls further and Wets look peculiar; the drums of war can be heard…

The BDI (Baltic Dry Index) lost 17 points and now stands at 2,266; the Dirties are gaining momentum. The Drums of War can be heard. John Faraclas brief mid-week recap:

The Capes’ BCI lost 62 points and now reds 4,394…

The Panamaxes’ BPI lost 32 points and now approach the 2,000 threshold standing at 2,089…

No change for both Supras and Handies still at 1,292 and 691 points respectively.

The Wets very peculiar; the last published BDTI (Dirties) and BCTI (Cleans) at 777 – plus 22 and 451 – minus two points respectively.

The WTI fell “a bit” and now stands at US$ 58.01 – down from US$ 59.34 yesterday…

The Geopolitics, as said in the preamble, smell of War… Each hour we live the possibilities rise for a confrontation and wonder after the accusations on Iran vis-à-vis the attack on the Aramco installations in Saudi Arabia that something might happen. We have for a long time stressed the fact that the faulty line from Gib to Afghanistan and from the Caucuses to the Horn of Africa might produce multiple of confrontations… Watch this space…

The MIGRANTS continue to be the most important issue and don’t be surprised for further unwanted developments following respective Turkish hints…

The Balkans still a tinderbox…

Greece trying to recover… after five years of lefty loony’s  mess and ten since the crisis begun!

The EU and the World at large are NOT ready for a non-deal BREXIT… In the UK the main issue these last 48 hours is the legitimacy of Boris Johnson closing down the Parliament… Expect turbulences…

The US Fed cut the interest rates for the second time since 2008 with president Trump attacking chairman Jerome Powell and the FED. With all due respect, time will tell who has the guts and vision!

In South America four millions of Venezuelans have fled the country and 40,000 have moved a few miles away to the Islands of Trinidad & Tobago… what a mess created by Nicholas Maduro and his backers. It’s time he goes!

On another tone and note, what an Insurance Garden Party that was at HFW‘s unique City garden. The atmosphere was really relaxing with live Jazz music, colourful lights, warm temperature and great food and drinks.

Moreover tomorrow at 8pm., in  Athens’ Kolonaki at the Roma Galley in 5, Roma Street  there is the opening – private view of  Dimitris Alithinos’ work from the period 0f 2000 to 2010 which is open until the 19th of October 2019.
