Celebrating 9,600 drivers trained and £75,000 for 75 years

This month we celebrated our road safety results in the presence of HRH The Princess Royal

On the 24th October we held our annual Showcase, hosted by Ashurst LLP in London. The event was an opportunity to highlight our achievements in our road safety programmes, as more than 9,600 drivers were trained over the past twelve months.

Over 150 Transaid supporters heard updates from speakers including Patron HRH The Princess Royal and Transaid CEO Caroline Barber. Caroline took the opportunity to thank the UK transport and logistics industry for their support over the years, highlighting their key role in providing funds and expertise to drive change through Transaid’s programmes.

Together, we have made strong progress to ensure we are bringing about positive change through the provision of safe, available and sustainable transport.”

The UKWA’s Peter Ward also presented Her Royal Highness with a cheque for £75,000, which was raised in honour of the Association’s 75th Anniversary.
