Markets collapse but Grammenos’ brigade makes waves

The BDI (Baltic Dry Index) fell down to 1,533 points  – minus 123 since yesterday proving the volatility, unsustainability and the difficult times ahead amid a perplexed Geopolitical environment; John Faraclas’ brief daily recap:

The Capes lead the way with 249 points lost with the BCI down to 2,726 – remind you that yesterday when the BCI was up a bit (29 points following the continuous fall in the previous days) we mentioned “bounced” back and we  were as proven today verbatim right as we felt reserved with the situation.  The BCI also lost the 2,800 and 2,700 thresholds; CAUTION!

The Panamaxes BPI lost 5 points and now stands at 1,385 with the 1,400 points threshold lost!!

Bad news also for the Supras’ BSI losing 48 points and now reading 926!

Minimal losses for the Handies’ BHSI down seven at 557!!

The Wets too in a mild fall but fall… The last published BDTI (Dirties) and BCTI (Cleans) stood at 938 – minus 29 and 630 – minus nine points respectively.

What a Market eh!!! We shall see what the panels at the 35th Anniversary of the Costas Grammenos Centre for Shipping, Trade and Finance combined with the 9th City of London Biennial Meeting have to say tomorrow at the IMO’s major event as indeed “This World is changing”!

The WTI lost 88 cents and now stands at US$ 56.35… We would like to see a major fall which will boost the economy all over Planet Ocean and help the demoralised medium class – as well as the poor…

The perplexed Geopolitics continue in the same tune as all these turbulent days we live; Migrants, the Trade Wars and unprecedented mess in the faulty line from Gib to Afghanistan and from the Caucuses to the Horn of Africa with all these ten spots we cover, the African mess and the uncertainty in the Latin Central and South America… Asia too has grave issues… Ah! …and don’t forget BREXIT as well as the forthcoming British elections!!

The Grammenos brigades’ first day at the IMO was the talk  all over Planet Ocean. Never ever before an event of this kind left so many positive points; what a start that was including Greece’s former PM Dr. Costas Karamanlis being on a great day; and what a  keynote speech that was to all and for all intents and purposes. We will revert with a special report on this and hopefully bring you his entire speech. Watch this space!

Have a nice evening and remain on guard from actions emanating from Pirates, Terrorists, Criminals and Business Hooligans whatsoever wherever you are on Planet Ocean!!
