Capes dive again with Panamaxes “trying” to keep the “balance”…

The BDI (Baltic Dry Index) lost four points since yesterday and now stands at 502 and, possibly tomorrow, might go under the 500 points threshold. Geopolitics and Coronavirus coupled with the deepening Recession will soon create major tsunamis. John Faraclas’ brief midweek recap:

The Capes lost 39 points with the BCI at 108 and looks certain that the fall will continue, “supported” by China’s policy…

The Panamaxes did their  bit but nothing capable to block the falling of the BDI… At 689, plus 33 our site’s most favourable size survives…

Five promising points for the Supras’ BSI and the Handies’ BHSI now at 500 and 262 points respectively, excellent!

All in all a worrying Dry Market and …do forget about tomorrow: The fall is certain and will be wider… CAUTION…

Mixed feelings for yet another uncertain sector, that of the Wets; the last published BDTI (Dirties) and BCTI (Cleans) stood a 733 – plus 15 and 577 – minus three points respectively…

The WTI as these lines are being written, lost steam and now stands at US$ 32.22 with the possibility of gaining some cents before the end of the day; CAUTION here too!

The main Bourses were up with Dow Jones and FTSE 100 above the 25,000 and 6,000 points respectively, but the bubble might burst one way or another… CAUTION…

Geopolitics now become cancerous. The melanoma can now be seen with the Global Economy on red alert; total collapse. There isn’t any remedy except the one we proposed the other day: “All change please! We are running out of time and money, unless we “borrow time” and “print money”…

On top of this, the main issue being the MIGRANTS, adding to the financial burden, coupled with the spreading of the Coronavirus anathema and thus creating despicable situations for all on Planet Ocean; END of the Story. Have you seen the unemployment rate since Coronavirus appeared? Who will rescue the Aviation Industry? The Cruise Industry, Entertainment to name but a few…

The Economists and the Politicians don’t have a leg to stand: How will the US$ 260 (twohundredandsixty) trillion dollar Global Debt be paid back?

Just above we mentioned the MIGRANTS; did I hear you say Malakasa? (See our last reports on this issue as well as all our reports especially on the Greek Aegean Islands, the Italian ones and Malta.) The MIGRANTS issue was not properly tackled from the very beginning – thanks to the apathy  of the morons in Brussels, and now spreads, particularly in Greece, Italy, Malta and Spain… With the EU totally divided, the mess and damage to the social cohesion will be detrimental… Wake up!

Many countries play with fire aiming to destroy whatever has peacefully remained until now… CAUTION, as Turkey’s leaders – not just president Erdogan, but his opposition too, MUST respect International Law. Alike the Persians who left 2,500 year ago from the Aegean / East Med following Alexander The Great’s liberation of all the lands they had occupied and Peace was restored in the Hellenic World and beyond, either the Turks must learn to live peacefully amongst the peoples in our neighbourhood or else… I mean go back one way or another from where they come from… Enough is enough! Mind me, your best friend is your neighbour, but with their attitude over the last 1,000 (onethousand) years in the East Med / Black Sea, regrettably they haven’t changed an iota…

China too creates, except the economic and trade war, periphery issues and we recently prompted to air on what might happen in Hong Kong. Events there proved our concern…

All other main global issues remain and let us see how Europe and the USA will cover the mess the Coronavirus anathema brought and hopefully other regions / nations make the necessary “corrections” for minimising Global destruction. Mind the Southern Hemisphere…

That’s all for tonight, have a nice evening and remain on guard from actions emanating from Pirates, Terrorists, Criminals and any Business Hooligans whatsoever wherever you are on Planet Ocean.  Once again a big THANK YOU to all who really care for all humans – Doctors, Nurses, Seafarers, Dockers, Port Authorities et al during this Coronavirus disaster!! We repeat: Do please invest in Hospitals including Equipment, Doctors, Nurses and any useful means to avoid further disasters! Become more disciplined and care for the Environment too. Lastly: Education and Training for all to be able to tackle these disasters.
