Capes unprecedented rise maintains the Dry momentum whilst Wets remain grounded amid upcoming Geopolitical tsunamis

The BDI (Baltic Dry Index) gained just 28 points since yesterday – when it rose 281, and now stands at 1,555, which is 632 points higher since last Friday the 12th of June 2020 when the BDI stood at 923 points. The Wets’ fall might turn out to be a beyond liability issue… Geopolitics with many “components” – Recession, Global Debt, unsettled disputesof all kinds  and the latest Coronavirus (COVID-19) anathema, will turn Planet Ocean upside down. John Faraclas’ daily and weekly recaps:

The Capes’ BCI rose modestly to 3,819 points – 147 plus since yesterday when the gains were 1,217 points. The weekly gains were 2,296 points – from 1,523 last week!   What a rise; it might though be a short-lived one…

The Panamaxes’ BPI was up 61 points and now reads 1,178; the weekly gains reached 326 points – up from 852 last week!

Supras’ BSI clinched nine points and now stands at 657; on a weekly basis the BSI was up 60 poins – from 597…

Nine points plus also for the Handies’ BHSI now at 363. The weekly gains were 42 points – up from 321 recorded last Friday 12 June.

Once again this is Capes driven Dry Market with an unprecedented volatile element as China – mainly, makes a cargoes built-up to avoid unwanted future conditions…

Failing falling Wets; the last published BDTI  (Dirties) and BCTI (Cleans) stood down to 509 – minus four and 401 – minus one points respectively. On a weekly basis the Dirties were down 83 points – from 592 and the Cleans 74 – from 475 points respectively. CAUTION, CAUTION, CAUTION!

The WTI stood at US$ 39.60  which is  60 cents higher since yesterday and US$ 3.34 higher since last week’s US$ 36.26… CAUTION here again…

Reverting on the perplexed and chaotic Geopolitics as well as with the Coronavirus anathema before midnight. Main issues will  also include: The Migrants. Turkish Aggression, Economic Issues with the worse ever Recession and the Coronavirus anathema; stay tuned!

Have a nice evening as well as weekend and continue to remain on guard from actions emanating from Pirates, Terrorists, Criminals and any Business Hooligans whatsoever wherever you are on Planet Ocean.  Once again a big THANK YOU to all who really care for all humans – Doctors, Nurses, Seafarers, Dockers, Port Authorities et al during this Coronavirus disaster!! We repeat: Do please invest in Hospitals including Equipment, Doctors, Nurses and any useful means to avoid further disasters! Become more disciplined and care for the Environment too. Lastly: Education and Training for all to be able to tackle these disasters. Let’s work collectively together and NOT opt for a fistful of Dollars to restart the already collapsed global economy… which is in red US$ 260 (twohundredandsixty) trillion…
