Chios Marine Club visits the new Harbour Master of Piraeus

On the occasion of the appointment of Commodore (HCG) Georgios Skandalis as Harbour Master of the Port of Piraeus, Greece, a delegation of Chios Marine Club, headed by its president Capt. Antonis Pitsilos, vice-president Mike Kasmas and secretary general Nikolaos Kakalis met the Commodore  yesterday Wednesday 30 September 2020.

Chios Marine Club expressed its appreciation and gratitude for the Hellenic Coast Guard’s diligent efforts both in Piraeus as well for Greece as a whole. The current activities and growth of the Club were outlined and ideas were exchanged regarding the further strengthening of Chios Island’s role in shipping. In his capacity as Harbour Master of Piraeus, Commodore Skandalis –  born and bred in Chios –  promised his full support and assistance in sustaining and enriching new targets and goals for the Chios club.
