Capes volatility brings the BDI below 1,400 points Wets falling too. Only by a Gordian knot operation, we can halt the Geopolitical, Coronavirus and other anathemas.

The BDI (Baltic Dry Index) lost 29 points since yesterday and now stands at 1,384. Marginal losses, but losses for the ailing Wets. Some elements of Geopolitics will be crucial for the years, possibly for the decades to come and the Coronavirus anathema will “support” this; John Faraclas’ brief midweek recap:

The Capes’ BCI lost 88 points AND the 2,200 points threshold and now reads 2,156. C A U T I O N!

The Panamaxes’ BPI clinched five points and reaching the 1,300 points is an achievement even if it proves to be short-lived – as things are not that promising.

Minus six points for the Supras’ BSI now at 962…

No change for the Handies’ BHSI – still at 596… we all await the leap forward / upwards to the 600 base points!

Falling Wets; the last published BDTI (Dirties) and BCTI (Cleans) stood at 422 – minus four and 322 – minus eight points respectively… Ultra CAUTION should be observed!

The WTI was down US$ 1.20 since yesterday and now reads US$ 37.49; good news for the 7.7 billion people on Planet Ocean exposed to low income and poverty!

The Geopolitical spectrum remains explosive and we like it or not we are at War; a multi facet War with incalculable repercussions to the human species, were Coronavirus (COVID-19) is an integral part, Terrorism, the tip of the iceberg…

Today, we will not refer to all the issues we normally refer το in every daily and weekly coverage on Geopolitics and Coronavirus, but we will make a reference to Greece and the 80th Anniversary of OXI (NO) Day 80 years ago today. The Day when Greece, totally united said NO to the:

Humiliating demand of Fascist Italy, part of the Axis (Germany and Japan – as well as their cronies) to give up its millennia inheritance;

To Leonidas’s Molon lave (Μολών λαβέ) – in English, Come and Take (them);

To the military superiority and acceptance of Fascist Italy’s military might;

To the undignified cowardice;

To the acceptance of slavery;

To the centuries-old poisonous division,

AND,

 a YES to “Above all the Cause to Fight” (Υπέρ Πάντων Αγώνα). This 80th Anniversary “comes” at no better time as the region from Gib to Afghanistan and from the Caucuses to the Horn of Africa is being pestered by Turkey’s megalomaniac president Erdogan whose wish is to destroy Peace in this region and beyond. Our long lasting position on Saint Sophia “Total Embargo on Turkey against the desecration of Saint Sophia” says it all!

.

Have a nice evening ensuring you continue to remain on guard from actions emanating from Pirates, Terrorists, Criminals and any Business Hooligans whatsoever wherever you are on Planet Ocean.  Once again a big THANK YOU to all who really care for all humans – Doctors, Nurses, Seafarers, Dockers, Port Authorities et al during this Coronavirus disaster!! We repeat: Do please invest in Hospitals including Equipment, Doctors, Nurses and any useful means to avoid further disasters! Become more disciplined and care for the Environment too. Lastly: Education and Training for all to be able to tackle these disasters. Let us work collectively together and NOT opt for a fistful of Dollars to restart the already collapsed global economy… which is in red US$ 270 (twohundredandseventy) trillion…
