Meeting: In conversation with Yves Mersch

Monday 16 November, 13:30-15:00 GMT

In response to Covid-19, the European Central Bank introduced the pandemic emergency purchase programme and continued with negative interest rates. These measures are under constant review to ensure they are appropriate, proportional and needed. The ECB is also carrying out a wider review of the tools at its disposal. Yves Mersch, member of the executive board and vice-chair of the supervisory board at the ECB, joins David Marsh, OMFIF chairman, to discuss the future of monetary policy.

Request to attend the meeting.
