Centre for Hellenic Studies – Happy New Year: Forthcoming Events
|Dear friends of CHS,|
A very happy New Year to you, in strong health and good cheer! We hope that 2021 will be very different from 2020, and will open up opportunities to meet in person again for the many events we have planned.
Please mark the following dedicated website: 21in21.co.uk, where our 2021 collaborative events calendar is listed. The events are sponsored by the A.G. Leventis Foundation.
Our events through early February 2021 will inevitably still be online events. You can find them here, https://21in21.co.uk/events/, on the webpage that will continue to have the most updated information. The 7 January concert hangs in the balance, but mark your calendars for the 28 January online panel discussion, organised by LSE, on the timely topic of ‘Power and Impunity: What Donald Trump and Boris Didn’t Learn from the Ancient Greeks’. This event is now live at https://www.lse.ac.uk/Events/2021/01/202101281600/power
and registration will open on 14 January.
Also, the registration link for the 4 February Runciman lecture, to be delivered by Professor Emeritus David Ricks, on the topic of ‘The Shot Heard round the World: The Greek Revolution in Poetry’, is now active here: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/the-30th-annual-runciman-lecture-tickets-132910437697.
We hope you will be joining us in large numbers, and, once more, we extend our warmest wishes.
