London, 22 April 2022: Geospatial imagery and re/insurance intelligence company, McKenzie Intelligence Services (MIS), is delighted to announce that it has received ISO 27001 certification – the internationally recognised standard for the establishment and certification of an information security management system.
The ISO framework helps companies to ensure they have completed all the requirements and checks to have secure information systems that are able to document sensitive information regarding data security, company information, and IT systems. Receiving the ISO 27001 certificate is a clear validation that MIS is meeting the highest international information security standards.
For over ten years, MIS has filled a significant gap in the insurance market for whole portfolio real-time intelligence and analysis on damage before, during and after catastrophic events. Using combined space and ground-based capabilities, MIS provides customers with automated, highly accurate and timely intelligence and data for catastrophe or other loss events.
Forbes McKenzie, Chief Executive and Founder of MIS commented:
“Our success has always been determined by our ability to provide customers with the most relevant, timely and holistic view of natural catastrophe events. Our Global Events Observer (GEO) intelligence grid plugs into our clients’ systems and works directly with their exposure schedules and claims teams.
Ensuring the integrity and security of data exchange with clients across the market is a critical element of that focus, and the ISO certification is an important endorsement of our commitment towards high-quality information security management – something that is ingrained in our culture and throughout every facet of our business.
We completed over 18 months of rigorous systems testing and refinement to be awarded the prestigious ISO 27001 standard, and I’m very proud of the team for all their hard work. We are confident that we have the most relevant and secure processes, systems and skills in place to continue to meet the high expectations of our international client base, including Lloyd’s of London, when it comes to managing and transferring data.
Our ethos has always been to have the freedom to grow, innovate and operate as a scalable business that is built on trust, transparency and the real-time value-add that we bring to our customers around the world.”
Since 2016, MIS has exclusively been the geospatial intelligence provider for Lloyd’s, its managing agents, TPAs and partners, providing access to invaluable exposure management and claims data following global events via the award-winning MIS-Intel Portal and, more recently, its upgrade, the Global Events Observer.
